Hi everyone. I am new here, i'm a friend of FuzzyWuzzy. He had his surgery a year ago.

Anyway, I have tried several diets, one which did well for me, but then I became ill and all my weight came back.

I have since found out that i have scoliosis in my back, along with spurring at L4-5, Degenerative disk disease and arthritis. One of my doctors has recommended WLS... I am going for my consult on March 13.

I'm not sure what to ask, where I need to go. I am trying to get in the habit of shrinking my meal portions... but not sure what i should eat or not.

Any help would be great.

It is hard to stick to portion restriction now.  What you should concentrate on is de-carbing your diet.  Wein off  of carbs and work on eating Atkins style.  Over time you can reduce portion size.  For now de-carb, concentrate on drinking 80 oz of water daily in sips, and exercising daily for at least a half hour to an hour.  Also take your vitamins on  a schedule through out the day.

These things will help in preparing for WLS. IMO.

If you need anything let me know.
